水 - WATER

水 - Shuǐ

水 (Water) is a meditation on form, fluidity, and the shifting nature of masculinity. Inspired by a comment that my work resembles the cold waters of New Zealand—clean, abstract, and quietly arresting—the series follows water as both a physical presence and a state of being. It moves through the images not as spectacle, but as atmosphere: clinging to skin, dissolving reflections, and obscuring certainty. Within these moments, masculinity is stripped of performance and rendered elemental—at once strong and vulnerable, defined yet impossible to contain. The body emerges through condensation, shadow, and glass, suspended between clarity and disappearance, inviting a contemplation of what remains when identity, like water, refuses a fixed shape.
